Please note that the E.U. Health Claim label distinguishes Olio Zo as high phenolic and containing the two most widely researched olive oil polyphenols ‘oleocanthal’ and ‘oleacein’ that have been related with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective and neuroprotective activity. In practice, this claim can only be applied to olive oil with a minimum of 250mg/kg of phenolic concentration, and is based on the daily consumption of 20g (2 tablespoons).
